How do I get to Ghost Ranch?

Ghost Ranch just outside the village of Abiquiu, NM, located about 70 miles north of Santa Fe and 125 miles north of Albuquerque, which are the two nearest airports. Car hire (uber, lyft, taxi) is available at both airports.

Airport transfers can be arranged for you at additional cost. If more than one person travels together, the transfer amount will be shared equally. Just contact us at themesagathering@gmail.com if you would like to arrange airport transfers.

What will the weather be like in March?

New Mexico is famous for its 300 days of sun each year. Early spring can be quite changeable with a fluctuation of temperatures from freezing to the sixties, with cool nights and warm afternoons.

What should I bring?

Ghost Ranch is a remote location, around 15 miles from the nearest small store and more than 30 miles from a supermarket. We suggest bringing a warm jacket, layered clothing, hiking shoes, a hat, a yoga mat if you have one (we will have some too), sunscreen, a hat, flashlight, a water bottle, and any prescription medication or supplements you need. You will need flip flops or slip on water shoes for the soak at Ojo Caliente.

New Mexico’s high desert is very dry and high altitude (Ghost Ranch is at 6,400 ft), so bring moisturizer and rehydration drinks.

If you have specific snacks or drinks you would like to bring, load up before you leave Santa Fe!

What activities are available at Ghost Ranch or the surrounding areas?

Ghost Ranch is a fascinating place with much to offer. Take a look at the activities available at https://www.ghostranch.org/activities/ Afternoons will be free for you to relax, take a hike, sign up for activities or just do nothing (also highly recommended!).

The Abiquiú area is close by and also has a lot to offer, including spectacular landscapes, a bustling art scene, and many community activities. Check out https://www.abiquiunews.com/index.html.

What else can I do in New Mexico, if I wanted to extend my visit?
